Come Walk the Labyrinth

The Labyrinth is symbolic of the higher power at work in our life. It is both the center we seek and the journey
that takes us there. It is the Labyrinth’s lack of complexity that allows so many people to use it as a meditative
or devotional tool. Unlike a maze, the Labyrinth has no dead ends, and only one path to the center.

Once you are on the path, your mind is freed from the need to make decisions. You can focus on your breath, a
mantra, Scripture passage, prayer, or a particular problem. You can listen to the wisdom of your body, breath,
heartbeat and spirit.

You move through the Labyrinth at whatever pace you desire … walk, crawl, dance. There will be times when
you find yourself close to your goal, but then suddenly, as you follow the path, you find yourself moving away
from the center. You realize that your higher power is not always within your line of sight, which is much like
our own life’s journey.

Step onto this sacred space. Open your mind and heart and allow the power of the Labyrinth to take you on a
spiritual journey. Once you reach the center, freely express yourself using the pieces of wood placed there for
that purpose.
